The goal of the Better Business Bureau Video Series is to educate consumers before a problem occurs in order to reduce the frustration and expense derived from poor purchase decisions.
In order to deliver this pre-purchase information to consumers at the lowest possible cost, we have been distributing the videos through the public library system. The libraries have proven to be an excellent method for disseminating this information. To check to see if a library near you carries the BBB Video Series, click here. For librarians, we have created the Librarian's Corner to see if your library is listed in our search tool, and have access to other library resources for your patrons.
Video titles for the series are taken from the list of inquiries and complaints generated by the BBB each year. We consult with national organizations and interview industry experts during the production of each program to make certain that our information is current and accurate.
Since 1995, Platypus Productions, Inc. (DBA) The BBB Video Series, has enjoyed an exclusive production arrangement with the Council of Better Business Bureaus to produce the Better Business Bureau Video Series. In addition, Platypus has maintained agreements with 140 local bureaus. Over the last 8 years, Platypus has developed a distribution channel to public libraries nationwide.
